Having the ability to draw unlocks a world of artistic possibilities for students! In this class, students will learn the basics of drawing, starting with the core principles of art. Throughout the class, we will explore shape, line, texture, and shading. Students will apply their new skills to create their own sketchbook!

Pattern on Repeat
How are fabric and wallpaper patterns created? In this class, students will design their own repeating patterns and learn tricks for making them seamless. They’ll print a simple version on fabric and explore the work of artists like Damien Hirst, William Morris, and Bridget Riley. To remember these artists, each student will also create a photo cube puzzle inspired by their styles.

Take your imagination to new heights with this interactive 2-day model-making workshop. Students will learn the basics of constructing 3D models from cardboard, experimenting with building techniques and exploring different types of adhesives. With foundational skills in place, students will have the creative freedom to design and build their own unique projects, bringing their ideas to life.

2-Day Sculpture & Henry Moore
August 21 & 22
Let your young artist think big — and get hands-on! In this 2-day sculpting adventure, students will step into the fascinating world of Henry Moore, a master of organic forms. They’ll uncover how Moore found inspiration in bones, rocks, shells and wood — and use that spark to design their own collection of sculptures. From carving soap to shaping foam and plaster, kids will experiment with shape, scale, and texture as they bring nature’s hidden beauty to life. Curiosity and creativity will take shape right before your eyes.

Bring art and science together in a class your student will love. Students will jump into the colorful world of pointillism by exploring famous works and modern day pieces by Camilla Perkins. They will learn pointillism and impressionism technique. Students will conduct fun science experiments to discover how our eyes blend color. They will learn how to plan and build a balanced, eye-catching landscape step by step. Using markers and acrylic paint, each young artist will create a vibrant scene made entirely of tiny dots and lines.

In this class, students will learn the history of basket weaving, explore different weaving methods, and work with natural materials to craft their very own raffia basket. Perfect for beginners and those looking to try something new, this class combines tradition with hands-on creativity.

1-Day Self Portraits
In this creative class, students will discover the art of self-portraiture through ink and watercolor, inspired by the bold style of Frida Kahlo. They will practice drawing each facial feature in detail and then combine their skills to create a one-of-a-kind portrait. Rooted in the truth that God has designed each of us in His image, this experience encourages students to look beyond hobbies and favorite things, reflecting on what shapes who they are and who they hope to become.

Circular Weaving

Circular weaving is a skill that can launch a student into other types of weaving projects. This class will focus on technique, color, pattern and texture. The student will learn how to set up their own loom and how to use a variety of weaving techniques.

3-Day Self Portrait
Mondays: June 9, 16, 23
9:00am - 12:00pm
In this multi-day class, students will explore self-portraiture through various mediums. Projects include a papier-mâché bust, a bold pop art-style portrait, and a charcoal drawing. Each student will also create a “self-portrait jar” filled with painted objects that reflect their personality, interests, and talents.

Stamp into Summer
Celebrate summer with your own custom stamps! Students will design and create a set of stamps inspired by fish, pond life, and lakeside scenes, then use them to create a final piece of artwork featuring a boat and local wildlife.

Vegetable Garden Linocut Prints
Perfect for beginners or returning students, this class will cover the basics of linocut printing—including safe tool use, design, carving, and printing techniques. We’ll focus on aligning multi-color prints (2–3 layers) with a fun vegetable garden theme—bugs and all! Students must be ready to safely use carving tools.

Spring Pastel Still Life
Drawing a still life starts with recognizing the shapes hidden within the objects. In this class, students will learn to draw both two-dimensional and three-dimensional objects. They will be provided with a spring-inspired still life and create their own masterpiece using pencil an oil pastels!

This class will introduce the skills needed to make a linocut print! The students will learn how to safely use carving tools and how to design, carve and print an image of their own. You know your student best, please don't sign them up for this class if they aren't ready to use a sharp tool. Recommended for ages 7 and up.

Watercolor Birds and Torn Paper Landscapes
Watercolor can be used to create many different styles of art. The students will discover and learn how to draw a variety of birds they see here in Minnesota! They will then look at the landscapes these birds live in and create a watercolor landscape using torn paper.

We will celebrate springtime by making our own flora and fauna stamps! We will explore the new growth we see outside and will be inspired by the budding plants and the busy animals. Each student will take home colorful prints and a collection of stamps.
